How should I categorize fees for disposal of expired products?

If the expense is not significant and occurs infrequently, you can categorize it as General Business Expenses.

However, if the expense is significant and/or occurs frequently, you can create a new expense account:

  • Name: Disposal fee
  • Type: Expense
  • Subtype: Supplies and Materials
